Subject: Draft National Pharmaceutical Pricing Policy, 2011 (NPPP-2011).

I am directed to refer on the above subject. The Department of Pharmaceuticals has drafted the National Pharmaceutical Pricing Policy, 2011 (NPPP-2011) based on the National List of Essential Medicines (NLEM)-2011. The draft policy is based interalia on the Task Force headed by Dr. Pronab Sen which submitted its report in September 2005.

A copy of the Draft policy and the Dr. Pronab Sen Report, 2005 is available on the Department’s websitewww.pharmaceuticals.gov.in.

It is requested that your comments/views if any on the Draft National Pharmaceutical Pricing Policy, 2011 (NPPP-2011) may be sent at the following address latest by 30.11.2011.
